About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an established mobile games studio to find a visionary Senior or Principal Concept Artist to help shape the visual identity of their upcoming and live mobile titles.

Serving as a cornerstone of the Art & Design team, you will balance hands-on concept creation with high-level style exploration.
You will work directly alongside the Creative Director to establish look-development across characters, environments, and core gameplay elements, translating creative visions into clear, actionable documentation for internal production pipelines and external partners.

What You Will Do

  • Lead visual look-development and iterate across diverse art styles to establish a cohesive, appealing aesthetic for new and live mobile titles.
  • Produce benchmark 2D concept art, orthographics, and color keys for characters, environments, and core game assets.
  • Draft comprehensive design briefs, style guides, and architecture breakdown documents that define rendering techniques, lighting, and shape language.
  • Establish and maintain project design boards using digital whiteboarding platforms such as Miro or FigJam to streamline the review pipeline and maintain cross-discipline alignment.
  • Partner with the Creative Director to provide actionable feedback, ensuring all assets align with visual pillars and mobile gameplay mechanics.
What We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years of professional concept art experience in the video game industry, backed by a shipped portfolio showcasing Senior or Principal level work in mobile games.
  • Previous experience working on Casual, Match-3, or Merge mobile titles is a strong advantage.
  • Proven versatility across multiple art styles, paired with a deep understanding of color theory, mobile readability, and small-screen constraints.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating visual style guides, asset briefs, and breakdown documents tailored for 3D modelers, UI artists, and external outsourcing teams.
  • Mastery of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent digital painting software, as well as proficiency with Miro or FigJam for organizing references and review workflows.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate artistic choices and champion visual quality.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Familiarity with 3D software (Blender, Maya, or ZBrush) for base block-outs, paintovers, or supporting the transition from 2D concepts to the 3D production pipeline.
  • Professional proficiency or fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus for cross-team collaboration.
