Senior Technical Artist

A stealth-mode innovation studio is hiring a Senior Technical Artist to drive real-time development for cutting-edge Mixed Reality experiences. The team is working across advanced XR hardware including Vision Pro, Hololens, and similar platforms, and is looking for someone who can bridge art and engineering using Unity.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in crafting immersive, performant content that blends virtual and physical spaces. You’ll collaborate closely with artists, designers, and developers to bring high-fidelity visuals to life on next-gen hardware.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop shaders, visual effects, and interaction systems in Unity for MR
• Own performance optimization across 3D assets, lighting, and animation
• Guide asset pipeline processes and ensure smooth integration across tools
• Work across teams to solve real-time visual and technical challenges
• Support R&D efforts around new XR tools, devices, and features

What They’re Looking For:

• Proven Unity experience in a technical art or development role
• Strong understanding of Mixed Reality workflows (e.g. Vision Pro, Hololens)
• Skilled in shader creation, scripting in C#, and performance tuning
• Familiar with pipelines for 3D models, textures, and real-time assets
• Willingness to relocate onsite to Abu Dhabi (support provided)

Bonus Skills:

• Background in real-time VFX or tool development
• Experience leading or mentoring in cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with Unreal is a plus, though not required
