We are seeking a Principal/Lead UI & UX Artist to take end-to-end ownership of our game's user interface and overall experience. You will define the UI/UX direction for the project, driving quality and consistency across all screens while remaining fully hands-on in the engine. This role is perfect for a systemic thinker who combines strong craft skills with an understanding of player experience, pipelines, and future scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the UI/UX vision for the game, ensuring a cohesive, player-centric experience across all screens, flows, and features.
  • Design, prototype, and implement responsive, polished UI directly in Unity (UGUI / UI Toolkit), from wireframes through to final assets.
  • Manage and mentor one UI/UX Artist, providing feedback, guidance, and support on craft, process, and priorities.
  • Own and refine user flows, navigation models, and interaction patterns for core and meta-game systems such as progression, shops, and events.
  • Optimise UI assets, animation, and layouts for performance, memory footprint, and a wide range of mobile devices.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience as a UI/UX Artist or a similar role in the game industry, including mobile free-to-play or live titles.
  • A proven track record of designing and implementing UI directly in Unity for at least one shipped mobile game from production to launch or major live updates.
  • Strong Unity skills, including building complex UI hierarchies, responsive layouts, and interactive elements in-engine.
  • Deep familiarity with mobile constraints, including screen resolutions, safe areas, performance budgets, and input responsiveness.
  • Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving, mostly remote team, with a willingness to wear multiple hats when needed.
