VP Product - Community Platform

Title: VP of Product – Global Community & Education Platform
Location: US East Coast (Remote / Flexible)
Salary: $225,000 - $300,000 USD

About the Role A visionary social-impact organization is seeking a VP of Product to lead the evolution of a web-based ecosystem designed to empower the next generation of digital creators. This platform sits at the intersection of education, gaming, and open-source technology, focusing on providing high-value digital skills to learners globally.
Initially, this is a highly autonomous individual contributor role at the VP grade, offering the opportunity to scale a team as the platform grows. You will drive the product craft and influence the ecosystem without immediate direct report management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the platform thesis and roadmap for a multi-stakeholder ecosystem including learners, game studios, and academic institutions.
• Design community system loops, incentives, and features such as reputation systems and digital portfolios.
• Prioritize complex stakeholder needs to maintain focus on high-impact platform goals.
• Translate ecosystem requirements into technical platform capabilities including APIs and credential graphs.
• Drive rapid iteration and experiments, measuring success through user activation and skill-to-work transitions.

Requirements

• 10+ years in Product Management with deep experience in large-scale community platforms or marketplaces.
• Proven success taking a product from a single use case to a multi-party marketplace at scale.
• Technical fluency in open-source governance and AI-enhanced learning tools.
• Strong cross-cultural competency and experience working with distributed global teams.
• Preferred: Multilingual capabilities (Arabic or Spanish) and experience in EMEA, India, or MENA markets.
