Mid - Senior Backend Engineer
Location: Remote - CET
B2B 12 month renewable contract
We’re looking for a Mid–Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale backend systems for a real-time multiplayer game. This is a hands-on role where you’ll implement game features, optimize infrastructure, and ensure high performance, scalability, and security across distributed services.
You’ll collaborate closely with production, design, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions—from architecture and development through to deployment and monitoring. You’ll also build automated tests, improve observability through metrics and logging, and contribute to a strong engineering culture through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

We’re looking for a Mid–Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale backend systems for a real-time multiplayer game. This is a hands-on role where you’ll implement game features, optimize infrastructure, and ensure high performance, scalability, and security across distributed services.
You’ll collaborate closely with production, design, and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions—from architecture and development through to deployment and monitoring. You’ll also build automated tests, improve observability through metrics and logging, and contribute to a strong engineering culture through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of backend/server development experience
- Strong C# and modern .NET expertise
- Experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB and Redis
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
- Experience with Unity or game networking concepts
- Background in real-time multiplayer systems
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and observability tools
