Director of Release Management - Global Mobile Franchise
Location: Remote (US, UK, CA, PT, IE) or Hybrid (Spain)
Salary: $161,000 - $238,000 USD (or local equivalent)

A leading global interactive entertainment company is seeking a strategic Director of Release Management to oversee the operational maturity of one of the highest-grossing mobile titles in history. This is not a "start from scratch" role; you will inherit a high-performing, experienced team and guide the evolution of a massive live service operation.

The Role: You will own the release governance framework for client, server, and data updates. Your objective is to ensure that release rhythms remain predictable and stable while scaling to meet the demands of millions of daily active users. You will act as the bridge between Engineering, QA, Production, and Incident Management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a global team of Release Managers and RM QA.
• Evolve release strategy including Scope Lock, quality gates, and branching practices.
• Partner with DevInfra to modernize tools and automation (PR validation, CI/CD).
• Oversee "Go/No-Go" standards and integrate post-incident learnings into the release lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Proven leadership of release functions within large-scale mobile pipelines (iOS/Android).
• Expertise in client/server architectures and complex live service workflows.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to drive phased improvements in established environments.
• Exceptional cross-functional influence across multi-pod development structures.
