Technical Lead

Job Title: Technical Lead
Location: London, UK (Hybrid / Remote)

We are looking for a Technical Lead to help shape the future of interactive experiences across games, immersive media, and real-time systems. You’ll act as a bridge between creativity and technology — guiding technical strategy, mentoring developers, and ensuring every project blends innovation with solid engineering foundations.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead technical direction across multiple projects, from Unreal and Unity builds to multiplayer web experiences
• Partner closely with the CTO to shape technical strategy, processes, and studio standards
• Architect scalable, efficient pipelines that empower creative and development teams
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of craft, curiosity, and collaboration
• Balance experimentation with reliability — knowing when to prototype and when to build for production
• Explore and integrate emerging technologies, especially around AI, real-time systems, and multiplayer frameworks
• Collaborate with design and production teams to bring complex ideas to life with technical precision and creative integrity

Requirements:

• Proven technical expertise across real-time engines (Unreal, Unity) and web technologies
• Strong understanding of networked systems, multiplayer frameworks, and backend logic
• Experienced technical leader, with excellent communication and mentoring skills
• Curiosity for new tech and an ability to evaluate its creative and practical applications
• Comfortable working across multiple disciplines in fast-moving, creative environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating AI-driven tools into production or creative pipelines
• Familiarity with WebGL / PlayCanvas and multiplayer web systems
• Previous experience defining or contributing to studio-wide technical standards
