Senior Server Engineer
Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Senior Server Engineer to play a key role in building and maintaining the backend systems for one of the world’s most successful mobile games. You will design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure systems that support both live operations and ongoing feature development.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services to support live game operations and internal workflows
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and integration layers that connect tools, features, and live operations
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers across disciplines to deliver backend solutions
• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and engineering standards development
• Implement observability, monitoring, and logging to ensure system reliability and performance
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of team expertise

Requirements:

• Strong experience in C# development, backend services, and API design
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, data modeling, and performance optimization
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging/queue systems
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Understanding of backend security best practices

Nice to Have:

• Experience with observability stacks (e.g., Datadog)
• Background in live game development and operations (rollback, safety nets, iterative release)
• Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures
• Experience building internal tooling and automation pipelines
