- Gameplay Implementation: Use Unity or similar tools (e.g., Unreal Blueprints) to bring adventure mechanics to life.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with creative leads, engineers, and cultural consultants to integrate gameplay with historical and cultural context.
- Support Learning & Creativity: Occasionally guide and mentor players and students using the game’s sandbox tools to build their own narrative experiences.
- Contribute to Planning: Align design work with project timelines and deliverables by collaborating with production.
Desired Qualifications
- Solid experience designing adventure gameplay in Unity, Unreal, or comparable engines.
- Strong background in quest and systems design, especially in narrative-driven projects.
- Familiarity with scripting or visual scripting (e.g., Lua, Blueprints, C#, etc.).
- Comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders, including cultural experts and educators.
- Clear communicator, proactive collaborator, and self-directed contributor.
What This Role Offers
- A chance to create culturally rich gameplay with real-world relevance.
- Full creative participation in a small, passionate, and remote-first team.
- A flexible, healthy work environment without crunch or burnout culture.
- Opportunities to mentor and support emerging creators using the game’s tools.

- Experience integrating cultural or historical content into gameplay.
- Prior involvement in community-focused or educational game projects.
- Passion for co-creation, player empowerment, or game-based learning.
