We are looking for an experienced Technical Artist who possesses a passion for championing optimal performance and efficiency in visual assets as well as working to solve any art-related bugs or hitches that may arise during game production.
  
As a key member of the Art & Cinematics team, you will be acting as a bridge between the art and engineering teams. Help ensure smooth asset integration in Unreal Engine (UE) and provide essential technical support. Your role will involve aiding animators in implementing rigged characters in UE, developing tools to enhance artists' workflow efficiency, and much more!
  
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience as a Technical Artist in the video game industry, having shipped a console or PC title.
  • Strong knowledge / hands-on experience with Unreal Engine. UnrealGameSync (UGS) and Visual Scripting (Blueprints).
  • Advanced knowledge of Blender, 3DSMax, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush and Substance Designer.
  • Experience writing and modifying shaders.
  • Experience with version control software such as Perforce or Git.
  • Solid understanding of creative and game development processes.
  • Passionate about playing and making video games.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with other core team members to develop the overall vision and determine technical feasibility.
  • Identify and analyse risks (engine, data, features, etc.)
  • Assess existing tools and design custom ones, when required, to support art pipelines and workflows to sustain the project vision.
  • Set up and maintain frameworks to allow creative freedom while hitting quality and performance requirements set up by the engineering team.
  • Meet with Art Director, Technical Art Lead and Director of Production on a regular basis to share information and updates, enforce standards, set benchmarks, give feedback.
  • Resolve specific, complex, escalated issues and approve technical specifications.
  • Represent the art team in technical discussions and requirements meetings.
  • Write documentation, tutorials/training videos and provide training to the Art, Design and Engineering departments.
