Job Title: Senior Game Designer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite – VISA Sponsorship Available)

A well-established game studio based in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Senior Technical Game Designer to help develop a narrative-driven adventure game rooted in local culture and history. The game is being built in Unity alongside a custom multiplayer sandbox creation engine.
This is a hands-on design role focused on quest design and gameplay systems. You’ll be responsible for building immersive gameplay experiences inspired by the UAE’s heritage, working closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, artists, and cultural partners.
The position also involves occasional mentorship, supporting students and emerging creators who are using the studio’s tools to build their own culturally inspired games.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement quests and gameplay features using Unity or similar tools
- Create handcrafted gameplay spaces that encourage curiosity and exploration
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and narrative teams to meet design goals
- Work with cultural consultants to ensure authenticity in game world and storytelling
- Facilitate sessions with subject matter experts to integrate cultural elements into gameplay
- Occasionally mentor young creators using the studio’s sandbox engine
- Experience designing gameplay systems and quests in Unity or comparable engines
- Familiarity with tools like Unreal’s Blueprint system or custom scripting tools
- Strong interest in narrative and culturally grounded game design
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and with external partners
- Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi (onsite); VISA sponsorship provided
