A leading independent game studio is seeking a Design Manager to lead and evolve its design department across multiple platforms including console, PC, and mobile. With a decade of successful releases and award-winning titles, the studio is expanding and looking for a senior leader to shape the future of its creative output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and structure a team of ~15 designers across multiple disciplines.
- Manage Game Directors and Lead Designers, fostering autonomy and accountability.
- Guide design methodologies and tools, ensuring innovation and consistency.
- Oversee 3–4 concurrent projects, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Art, Engineering, Production, and QA.
- 10+ years in the video game industry, with 5+ years in a similar leadership role.
- Proven track record in game design and team management.
- Strong organisational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in French and English.
